Plan a Board Cut List with Kerf

Board Cut Plan groups straight pieces into equal-length stock boards and reserves one blade-width kerf for each piece shorter than a full board. Enter every length in the same unit, then inspect the cut order and estimated offcuts before cutting. The packing method is a quick heuristic, so its board count may not be the smallest possible. It does not account for defects, grain direction, end trimming or different stock lengths.

How to use Board Cut Plan

  1. Enter your stock board length, a unit label such as mm or in, and the width lost to each cut (kerf).
  2. Add each required piece length and quantity; an optional name helps identify pieces on the cut sheet.
  3. Select Make cut plan to see boards, cut order and offcuts. Check the layout against your actual stock, then download the CSV cut sheet or reset the worksheet.
